Cupuaçu tree grows in the rainforest of dry and firm soil, spreading throughout the Amazon. The Cupuaçu fruit is the largest in its family, with an average of 1.2 kg. Inside the fruit, surrounded by the creamy pulp, we find from 30 to 50 seeds. Cupuaçu helps in metabolic function, in the functioning of the intestine, in the gain of energy and disposition and in the reduction of cholesterol. Cupuaçu pulp can be made into jellies, ice creams and pies. The extract can be used in the manufacture of beverages, sweets in general, vitamins and other recipes. Cupuaçu oil is used in the cosmetics industry, in creams and shampoos.
